Is the Union & Scale Essentials 5-80M good for all-day sitting?

It is a basic ergonomic task chair with a fabric back and swivel base. It suits several hours of desk work, but it lacks the adjustable lumbar and headrest support found on chairs built for eight-hour days.

Does it have adjustable armrests?

The listing does not specify armrest adjustment. Confirm with Quill before buying if you need height- or width-adjustable arms.

What is the weight capacity?

Union & Scale does not publish a weight limit in the listing details given. Ask Quill for the rated capacity before ordering.

Is $199.99 a good price?

Quill lists it at $199.99 as of November 7, 2026, and it is the only new price available. Without a price history, compare it against similar fabric task chairs from HON and Staples before deciding.

Does it come with casters for carpet?

The listing confirms a swivel base but does not name the caster type. Check the box contents with the store if you need hard-floor or carpet-specific wheels.
