Do these bags need a vacuum cleaner or pump?

No. They close with a zipper, so you compress by rolling or pressing the air out by hand. The vacuum-sealed label overstates what the closure does.

How much can one bag hold?

The set is rated at 354.76 ounces total, roughly 88.7 ounces per bag. That is about 5.5 pounds of clothing per bag, less for bulky items.

The listed size is 11.42 by 3.54 by 15.75 inches. The 3.54-inch depth is the compressed profile, so bags start flatter and fill out as you pack.

At about $4.19 per bag it is inexpensive for a four-pack of zippered compression bags. Two stores list it new, so compare both before buying.

The 15.75-inch length fits most carry-on suitcases. Check your airline's size limits if you plan to use them in a smaller personal item.
