Our take on the Universal Home Video Columbo: The Complete Series

Columbo: The Complete Series is a DVD box set from Universal Studios collecting the full run of the 1970s–2000s detective show starring Peter Falk as the rumpled, relentless Lieutenant Columbo. It is a budget-friendly way to own every episode in one package rather than buying seasons separately. The best new price is $24.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, and only two stores list it new, so availability is thin.

Questions and answers

Is the complete series worth it?
At $24.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to own every episode. If you already stream the show, the main gain is offline access and ownership.
Does it include the later revival movies?
The set is sold as the complete series, covering the original run and the later Columbo movies. Check the episode list on the box before buying if a specific movie matters to you.
Is it remastered in HD?
No. These are standard DVD transfers, so expect 480p-style picture and stereo or mono sound, not Blu-ray quality.
How many discs and seasons are in the box?
The set spans the full series across many discs in a single box. Exact disc count varies by edition, so confirm it on the listing.
When is the price lowest?
New copies are scarce, with only two stores listing it new. Prices tend to dip during holiday sales and used copies sell for less year-round.
