Do I need to thin this paint before airbrushing?

No. Game Air is pre-thinned for airbrush use and can be sprayed straight from the bottle. You may add a little flow improver for very fine nozzles.

How does it compare to Game Color Ultramarine Blue?

It is the same color line in an airbrush-ready formula. Game Color is thicker for brush painting; Game Air is thinned for spraying.

What size is the bottle?

The listing gives 18ml, and the spec field says 17ml. Either way it is a small dropper bottle, enough for many miniature basecoats.

Can I brush it on instead of spraying?

You can, but it is thin and will need several coats. It works best as an airbrush paint.

Is it water-based and safe to clean with water?

Yes, it is an acrylic paint that cleans up with water before it dries. Flush the airbrush promptly after use.

When is the cheapest time to buy it?

Only one store lists it new at $9.99 as of November 7, 2026, so there is little to compare. Check the price history on this page before buying.

Our take on the Vallejo Game Air 76022 Ultramarine Blue (18ml)

Vallejo Game Air 76022 is an 18ml dropper bottle of pre-thinned acrylic paint made for airbrushing, in a saturated ultramarine blue matched to the Game Color range. It is ready to spray straight from the bottle, so you skip mixing and thinning for basecoats and glazes. The best new price is $9.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, with only one store listing it new, so there is little price competition to compare against.
