Our take on the Vari ComfortEdge Electric Standing Desk

The Vari ComfortEdge is an electric sit-stand desk with a light wood wood-grain top and a steel frame that raises and lowers at the push of a button. It is aimed at home offices and shared workspaces where people want to alternate sitting and standing through the day. Its best new price is $719.20 at Vari as of November 5, 2026, with two stores listing it new. That is the only current new price we can confirm, so compare it against the desk's own history before buying.

Pros
  • Electric height adjustment makes switching between sitting and standing quick
  • Light wood top suits home offices and blends with wood furniture
  • Sturdy steel frame design built for daily height changes

  • Simple, clean look without a bulky control panel
Cons
  • $719.20 is a premium price for a single desk

  • Wood top needs care to avoid scratches and water rings
  • Electric motors and controls are one more thing that can fail
  • Light wood finish may not match darker office furniture

Questions and answers

Is the Vari ComfortEdge worth $719.20?
If you will actually change height several times a day, the electric adjustment and sturdy frame justify the price for many buyers. If you mostly sit, a fixed desk costs far less. Check the price history to see whether $719.20 is high or low for this model.
How does it compare with Vari's other standing desks?
The ComfortEdge sits in Vari's mid-to-upper range, with a wood top and powered adjustment. Cheaper Vari models use laminate tops or hand cranks. Pick the ComfortEdge if you want the wood look and push-button height changes.
How tall can the desk go?
Vari's ComfortEdge is an electric sit-stand desk, so it adjusts through a standing range, but confirm the exact minimum and maximum height for your body before ordering. Taller users should check the top height against their standing elbow height.
Does it come with a warranty?
Vari typically backs its desks with a multi-year warranty that covers the frame and electronics, but the terms vary by model. Confirm the warranty length with the seller before you buy.
When is the best time to buy?
Standing desks usually see discounts around Black Friday, back-to-school and office-furniture sales. Watch the price history and buy when the price drops below the recent range rather than at list price.
Where is the Vari ComfortEdge Electric Standing Desk cheapest?
