Is 8 lights enough for a 7.5 ft tree?

No. Eight lights cannot evenly light a tree this tall. Plan on adding several strands of your own lights, or expect large dark areas.

Pencil trees this tall are typically around 2 feet wide at the base, versus 4 to 5 feet for a full tree. Check the exact base width before buying for a tight corner.

Is it worth it at $70.99?

Only if the slim footprint matters more than fullness. The 2.3 out of 5 rating from 299 ratings and the very low light count are real risks at any price.

Does it come with a stand?

Most pre-lit trees in this class include a folding metal stand. Confirm the box contents with the seller before ordering.

Christmas trees usually drop after Thanksgiving and again in early January clearance. The current $70.99 at Veikous as of November 7, 2026 is already low for a 7.5 ft pre-lit tree.

Our take on the Veikous Skinny Pre-lit Christmas Tree 7.5ft

The Veikous Skinny Pre-lit Christmas Tree is a 7.5-foot pencil-style artificial tree with built-in lights, made for tight corners, narrow entryways and small rooms. Its slim profile is the main draw, but the listing's light count of 8 is very low for a tree this tall, so expect a sparse look unless you add your own lights. At $70.99 at Veikous as of November 7, 2026, it is the best new price among the two stores that carry it, a low entry point for a pre-lit tree of this height.

Best forSmall apartments and tight cornersNarrow entryways and hallwaysShoppers on a tight holiday budgetPeople who plan to add their own ornaments and lights

Pros

Slim pencil shape fits where a full-width tree won't
7.5 ft height gives a tall look in a small footprint
Pre-lit, so no stringing lights from scratch
Low price for a tree this tall
Easy to move and store compared with a wide tree

Cons

Only 8 lights listed, far too few to light a 7.5 ft tree evenly
Rated 2.3 out of 5 from 299 ratings, a weak record
Sparse look likely without extra lights and dense ornaments
Skinny shape limits how many large ornaments it can hold
