Is the VEVOR 42-inch lawn sweeper worth it?

For large lawns with a riding mower, it is a low-cost way to clear leaves and clippings fast. If your yard is small or you have no tow vehicle, a walk-behind or blower makes more sense.

What can tow this lawn sweeper?

It is a pull-behind unit, so a riding mower, lawn tractor or ATV with a hitch works best. Check that your hitch pin fits the sweeper's tow bar.

How big is the hopper?

The hopper holds 12 cu.ft, which is generous for a 42-inch sweeper. You empty it with the included rope-pull dump.

How long does assembly take?

VEVOR lists about 3 hours for assembly. No special tools are required, but set aside an afternoon.

Does it work on wet leaves?

It is best on dry leaves and clippings. Wet, matted leaves can clog the brushes and hopper, so sweep after dry weather.

When is the price lowest?

Fall leaf season and spring cleanup drive demand, so prices tend to be higher then. Watch for off-season listings; the current best is $173.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026.
