Our take on the VEVOR Dual Fuel Portable Generator 13500W Gasoline 12000W LPG

The VEVOR Dual Fuel Portable Generator is a large home-backup unit rated at 13,500W on gasoline and 12,000W on LPG. It runs on a 9.8-gallon gasoline tank or a propane tank, so you can switch fuels during an outage. At $1,259.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the only price seen in its short tracked history, so there is no cheaper recent point to wait for. This is a transfer-switch-class generator, not a tailgate unit.

Best forWhole-home backup during outagesHomes with a propane supply already in placeRunning a well pump, furnace and fridge at onceBuyers who want dual-fuel flexibility at a low price
Pros
  • 13,500W gasoline and 12,000W LPG output covers most of a house
  • Dual fuel lets you run on propane when gasoline is scarce
  • 9.8-gallon tank means long runs between refills
  • Electric start and low-oil shutdown are standard on this class
  • Price is low for this wattage
Cons
  • Very heavy and needs two people or a ramp to move
  • Loud at full load; not neighbor-friendly in tight lots
  • Needs a transfer switch or inlet box for safe home hookup
  • No inverter, so it is not clean enough for sensitive electronics without conditioning
  • VEVOR support and parts network is thinner than the big generator brands

Questions and answers

Is 13,500W enough for my house?
It can carry most of a typical home if you manage loads: well pump, furnace, fridge, lights and a few appliances. Central AC plus electric range plus everything else at once will exceed it, so use a transfer switch and rotate heavy loads.
Gasoline or propane: which should I use?
Propane gives 12,000W instead of 13,500W but stores indefinitely and avoids carburetor gumming. Gasoline gives full output and is easier to refill during a long outage. Many owners keep both on hand.
How loud is it?
It is a conventional open-frame generator, so expect loud running noise under load, similar to other units in this wattage class. Place it away from windows and doors and never run it indoors or in a garage.
What do I need to hook it to my house?
A transfer switch or a generator inlet box with an interlock, installed by an electrician. Do not backfeed through an outlet. The generator itself ships as a portable unit with outlets, not a permanent standby system.
Is it cheaper at other times of year?
The only tracked price is $1,259.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, so there is no seasonal pattern to point to yet. Generator prices often dip before storm season and rise after outages, so watch the price history.
Where is the VEVOR Dual Fuel Portable Generator 13500W Gasoline 12000W LPG cheapest?
At Walmart, for $1,259.99, as of our latest check.
