Is the XP13000HX bundle worth it over buying the generator alone?

Only if the generator will sit outside permanently. The enclosure adds weather protection and some noise damping, but it costs extra and makes servicing and refueling harder. Buy the bare unit if you store it in a garage or shed.

How much power does it make on propane versus gasoline?

Gasoline output is higher than propane output on dual-fuel DuroMax units, so check the propane rating before sizing it to a transfer switch. Plan critical loads around the propane figure if that is your primary fuel.

Does the CO sensor shut the generator off automatically?

Yes. CO Alert monitors carbon monoxide around the unit and shuts the engine down when levels rise, which matters if the generator sits near windows or doors. It does not replace proper placement away from the house.

Can the generator run inside the enclosure while it is closed?

No. The enclosure is for weather protection and storage; the generator needs ventilation and exhaust clearance while running. Follow DuroMax's clearance instructions for the enclosure.

What comes in the box?

The bundle includes the XP13000HX generator and the steel enclosure. Check the listing for the wheel kit, battery and propane hose, since accessory contents vary by bundle.

When is the bundle cheapest?

Generator bundles tend to drop around storm-season demand spikes and major sales events. Compare the bundle price against the generator plus enclosure bought separately before buying.

Our take on the DuroMax Generator + Enclosure Bundle

This bundle pairs the DuroMax XP13000HX dual-fuel generator with a steel enclosure for weather protection and quieter, year-round outdoor operation. The XP13000HX runs on gasoline or propane and includes CO Alert technology that shuts the engine down when carbon monoxide builds up. It is a large portable unit aimed at home backup and shop power, not light camping duty. The enclosure adds cost and footprint, so the bundle suits buyers who plan to leave the generator parked outside long term.
