Is the LS740HD bright enough for a lit conference room?

Yes. At 5,000 ANSI lumens it is aimed at rooms with ambient light, such as boardrooms and lecture halls. You can still dim lights for the best contrast.

Do I ever need to replace a lamp?

No. It uses a laser phosphor light source rated for up to 30,000 hours, so there are no lamp swaps. That rating is a maximum, and actual life depends on mode and settings.

What size image can it throw?

It projects from 30 to 300 inches diagonally at 1080p. The 1.13–1.47 throw ratio and 1.3x optical zoom let you adjust size without moving the projector much.

Does it support portrait or ceiling mounting?

Yes. It supports 360° projection and portrait mode, so it can be mounted at angles or turned vertically. Use the H/V keystone and 4-corner adjustment to square the image.

Is it good for watching movies at home?

It can fill a large screen, but it is tuned for presentations at 1080p and has no smart apps listed. For a dark home theater, a 4K or higher-contrast model may suit you better.

The listing does not detail included accessories. Check the retailer's box contents before buying, especially for a remote or cables.
