Best forCigar smokers with an outdoor patio or deckGroups of two to four smoking togetherBuyers who want a heavy, wind-resistant tabletop ashtrayGift buyers looking for a modestly priced ceramic ashtray

Pros

Four cigar rests, one on each edge, so several people can set cigars down
Deep basin holds a full evening of ash and debris
Ceramic body gives it weight so it stays put on a table
Square shape with a round basin looks tidy on a patio table
Stated as weather resistant and suited to outdoor use

Cons

Ceramic can chip or crack if dropped or knocked off a table
At about 8.25 inches square it takes real table space
No lid, so wind can still blow ash out of an open basin
Only four rests, so it is not built for larger groups

Questions and answers

Is the Visol Donovan ashtray really safe to leave outside?: Visol lists it for outdoor use and says it holds up to rain. Ceramic itself handles weather, but dropping it on a hard patio can still chip or crack it.
How many cigars can it hold at once?: It has four grooves, one on each edge, so four people can rest a lit cigar on it at the same time. The deep basin below catches the ash.
How big is it?: The listing gives 8.25 inches long by 8.25 inches wide by 2.75 inches high, with a 7-inch basin. Plan for a footprint close to a dinner plate.
Is $25.99 a good price for it?: That is the best new price among the three stores selling it, at Home Depot as of November 7, 2026. Ceramic cigar ashtrays of this size commonly run $20 to $40, so it sits in the lower part of that band.
What comes in the box?: One boxed black ceramic ashtray. Nothing else is included.
Is it made in the USA?: The product page says it is assembled and decorated in the US. The ceramic parts themselves may be made elsewhere.
Where is the Visol Donovan Ceramic Cigar Ashtray cheapest?: At Home Depot, for $25.99, 27% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Visol Donovan Ceramic Cigar Ashtray?: 3 stores we checked sell it, including Home Depot, IdeaStage Promotions, LightersDirect.com.
