Is the Vita-Prep worth it over a home Vitamix?

If you blend thick or frozen mixes often and want manual control, the 2.3 peak HP motor and tamper justify it. Home users who want presets and a longer warranty may prefer a consumer model.

Does it have a pulse function?

No. It has a variable speed dial and a start/stop switch only, so you control texture by dialing speed up and down.

Can I use it at home?

Vitamix intends it for commercial use only, and the warranty is 1 year. Home use is possible, but check warranty terms before buying.
