Is the Vivitar 8" Ring Light worth it at $10?

At $10.00 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it is a low-risk starter light. It covers selfies, video calls and small product shots, but not full-room lighting.

Does it work with any phone?

The gooseneck phone cradle fits most phones, and the wireless shutter pairs with phones for hands-free photos. Very large phones may need the cradle stretched.

It runs on USB power, so you plug it into a laptop, wall adapter or power bank. There is no built-in battery, so runtime depends on your power source.

You get the 8-inch ring light, tripod with ball head, phone cradle with gooseneck and a wireless shutter remote. The remote uses a CR2025 coin battery.

Can I change the light color and brightness?

Yes. It switches between white and warm light and has 10 brightness levels via the dimmer.

The $10.00 eBay price as of November 7, 2026 is the lowest of the five stores listing it new. Ring lights like this often drop around back-to-school and holiday sales.
