Our take on the VIWAT 14 ft. W x 10 ft. D Metal Outdoor Storage Garden Tool Steel Shed with Lockable Doors and Windows

The VIWAT is a galvanized steel garden shed, 14 ft wide by 10 ft deep, with lockable doors and windows. It is aimed at storing mowers, bikes, tools and patio gear that won't fit in a garage. The gray steel panels are pre-cut for bolt-together assembly, and the gabled roof sheds rain and snow. No current price was provided, so check the price history before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the VIWAT 10x14 shed worth it?
It is a budget steel shed with a big footprint. It suits overflow storage, but expect thinner panels than premium brands and budget for a solid base and anchors.
Does it need a foundation?
Yes. Set it on a level concrete slab, pavers or a treated timber frame. An uneven base makes the doors bind and lets water in.
How many people does assembly take?
Plan for two people and most of a day. The panels are large and awkward alone, and a second person helps hold walls square while bolting.
Can I keep a lawn mower in it?
Yes. The 14 x 10 ft floor fits a riding mower with room left for shelving. Check door width against your mower's deck before buying.
Does it come with a floor?
Most metal sheds in this class ship without a floor. Confirm what's in the box and add a plywood or slab floor if you store tools on the ground.
When is it cheapest?
Steel sheds usually drop in late summer and around Black Friday. Check the price history on this page and buy when the price sits near its low.
