Our take on the Vlogging Camera 4K Digital Camera for YouTube Autofocus with 32GB SD Card 16X Digital Zoom 48MP Video Camera Camcorder

This is a budget 4K camcorder-style camera aimed at YouTubers and first-time video makers. It pairs a 48MP CMOS sensor with autofocus, a 3-inch screen, Wi-Fi, and a 32GB SD card in the box. The 16x figure is digital zoom, not optical, and the listed 1.1 oz weight is far below what a camera with a flash and screen actually weighs. It is an entry-level pick, not a replacement for a mirrorless camera.

Questions and answers

Is this camera worth it for YouTube?
For casual clips and learning, yes at its price. If you need clean low-light video or reliable autofocus, a used mirrorless camera or a recent phone will serve you better.
Is the zoom optical or digital?
The listing says both 16x optical and 16x digital, but this class of camera uses digital zoom. Expect image quality to fall off quickly as you zoom in.
Does it come with a memory card?
Yes, a 32GB SD card is included. That holds roughly a couple of hours of 4K footage, so buy a larger card for long shoots.
Can I use it for still photos too?
Yes, it captures 48MP stills. The small sensor means photos look best in daylight, not indoors or at night.
How does it compare to a phone camera?
A recent phone usually beats it in low light and stabilization. This camera wins on the zoom range, the included flash, and the camcorder feel for beginners.
