Is $169.99 a good price for this chair?

It is the only new price found, $169.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare. Egg chairs with a 450 lb rating often cost more, but the 3.1 rating is a caution.

Does it really hold 450 lb?

Walsunny rates the max load at 450 lb. That is high for a wicker egg chair, but the mixed ratings mean you should check the frame and base carefully after assembly.

It is 38.4 in wide, 35.8 in deep and 47.2 in tall, with a 35.8 in seat width. Leave clearance around the base so it can rock.

It is listed for indoor and outdoor use. Wicker and beige cushions fade and hold moisture, so bring the cushions in during rain and cover the chair in winter.

How hard is assembly?

Assembly is required, and buyers commonly complain about it. Set aside an hour or more and have a second person help with the frame.

What comes in the box?

The chair frame, the curved rocking base, the seat and back cushions, and the hardware. Check the box for all fittings before you start.
