Over-the-door mirrors are made for standard interior doors, roughly 1.375 to 1.75 inches thick. Measure your door's thickness and the gap above it before buying, since thick or sliding doors may not work.

Does it need to be screwed in?

No. It hangs from brackets that hook over the top of the door, so there is no drilling and no wall damage. Check that the door can still close fully with the mirror in place.

How tall is a full-length mirror?

Full-length models are usually around 48 to 65 inches tall, enough to show you head to toe. Confirm the exact height on the listing, since square over-the-door versions run smaller than rectangular ones.

Will it damage the top of my door?

The hooks rest on the door's top edge and can leave light marks over time, especially on painted doors. A thin felt pad under the brackets reduces this.

Is it worth it over a wall-mounted mirror?

Yes if you rent or want zero installation. A wall-mounted mirror looks more built-in and stays steadier, but it needs anchors and leaves holes.

Wayfair house-brand mirrors often drop during Wayfair's seasonal sales and clearance events. Watch the price history here rather than buying at the first listed price.

Our take on the Wayfair Over-the-Door Full-Length Mirror

This is a full-length square mirror designed to hang over a door, with a silver-finished frame. It gives a full head-to-toe view without drilling or wall mounting, which makes it a fit for renters and small bedrooms. It is a Wayfair house-brand item, so the exact price depends on the current Wayfair listing and any sale running.
