Is this bed queen or king size?

The product name says queen but the listed specs say king. Confirm the size with the store before you order, since the frame and mattress you need depend on it.

Does it need a box spring?

No. The wood frame comes with slats, so a mattress can sit directly on them. A box spring would only add height.

Is $300 a good price for it?

It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare. At $300 an upholstered wingback bed is inexpensive; check the size and upholstery before treating it as a deal.

What mattress thickness works with a wingback bed?

A standard mattress around 8 to 12 inches thick sits well below a tall wingback headboard. Very thick mattresses can hide part of the headboard.

How do I clean the velvet?

Vacuum it with a soft brush attachment and blot spills right away. Avoid soaking the fabric, and check the care label before using any cleaner.

Our take on the Wayfair Queen Bed Upholstered Wingback

An upholstered platform-style bed with a tall wingback headboard in velvet, built on a wood frame with slats included. The wingback headboard is the draw: it gives a hotel look and a soft surface to lean back on. At $300 at Wayfair as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against. Note the listing mixes size labels: the name says queen while the specs say king, so confirm the size before ordering.
