Pros
  • Low price for a queen innerspring
  • 8-inch profile fits bunks, platforms and adjustable bases
  • Pillowtop cover adds surface cushioning over the coils
  • Available in Twin, Queen and King
  • Simple setup with no box spring required on a solid platform
Cons
  • Thin 8-inch build gives limited support for heavier sleepers
  • Innerspring coils transmit motion, so it is poor for couples who wake each other
  • Plush pillowtop may feel too soft for some back sleepers
  • Shorter lifespan than a thicker or foam mattress

Questions and answers

Is the Wayfair Sleep 8" Plush mattress worth it?
For a guest room, kids' room or tight budget, yes. It is a basic innerspring, so do not expect the support or lifespan of a thicker mattress.
Does it work on an adjustable bed?
Yes. Wayfair lists it as suited to adjustable beds, and the 8-inch profile bends more easily than a thick mattress.
Do I need a box spring?
Not on a solid platform or slatted frame. On a traditional bed frame you can add a box spring, but it is not required.
Is it good for side sleepers or back sleepers?
The plush pillowtop suits many side sleepers. Back and stomach sleepers who want firm support may find it too soft.
What sizes are available?
Twin, Queen and King. Check the size you need before ordering, since availability varies.
When is the price lowest?
It has been $148.99 since November 1, 2026, with no lower price in that window. Watch for holiday mattress sales if you can wait.
What do buyers say about the Wayfair Sleep 8" Plush Innerspring Mattress?
