Is this cat house actually insulated?

Yes, the listing states it is insulated, which slows heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. It is passive insulation, not powered heating.

How big is the raised floor gap?

The base is listed at 12 cm, roughly 4.7 inches, which lifts the floor above mud and standing water. That height helps in rain but will not protect against deep flooding.

Will a large cat fit inside?

The listing does not give interior dimensions, so check the measurements before buying for a big cat. Most outdoor shelters of this type suit average to small cats.

Does it need assembly?

Outdoor cat houses of this style typically ship flat and assemble with basic tools. The listing does not detail the parts included, so confirm with the store.
