Is 12 lb heavy enough for an adult?

Weighted blanket guidance suggests about 10 percent of body weight, so 12 lb suits roughly a 120 lb adult. Heavier adults may find it too light to feel the calming pressure.

Will it fit a queen bed?

It is 48 by 72 inches, which is narrower and shorter than a queen mattress (60 by 80 inches). Treat it as a throw for the lap, sofa or foot of the bed, not a full cover.

Can I machine wash it?

Yes, the listing says machine washable. Use a front-loading or large-capacity machine and low heat, since a wet 12 lb blanket is heavy and polyester fill can clump in a small agitator.

Does it come with a cover?

No cover or duvet is listed; it is one piece. The microfiber shell is meant to be used directly, and washing the whole blanket replaces a removable cover.

Is $73.49 a good price?

It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, at Kohl's, so there is no recent range to compare it with. Comparable 12 lb polyester throws often sell in the $50 to $90 range.

The polyester microfiber shell and fiber fill hold heat. It suits average or cool sleepers; hot sleepers may want a cotton shell or a lighter fill.

Where is the Weighted Throw cheapest?

Our take on the Weighted Throw

The Buzio Weighted Throw is a 48 by 72 inch rectangular blanket in blue microfiber and polyester, filled with polyester fiber to 12 pounds. It is sized as a throw rather than a full queen cover, so it drapes over a lap or the foot of a bed. It is machine washable, which is uncommon at this weight. At $73.49 at Kohl's as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
