Is the WEN GN5602X a good value?

At $389.69 at Home Depot as of November 5, 2026, it is one of the lowest prices for a 5600-watt inverter generator with electric start and a CO sensor. It undercuts most Honda and Champion models with similar output.

Can it run a refrigerator and furnace?

Yes. With 4500 running watts, it can power a refrigerator, furnace fan, lights, and TV at the same time. Check startup wattage on large appliances.

WEN rates it at 71 dB, about like a lawn mower. It is fine for a jobsite or RV but may bother close neighbors at night.

Does it have a CO sensor?

Yes. The Watchdog CO sensor shuts the engine off if carbon monoxide levels get dangerous, a safety feature not found on older generators.

What outlets does it have?

It has one 30-amp TT-30R for RVs, one 30-amp L5-30R for transfer switches, and two 20-amp 5-20R household outlets.

It weighs 110.45 lb dry. The included wheel and handle kit helps, but two people are needed to lift it into a truck.
