Is the Peyton Sofa worth it?

It is worth it if you have a large room and want a U-shaped sectional with certified wood and cotton. Compare the sale price against similar West Elm sectionals, since full price is high for a cotton cover.

How big is the Peyton Sofa?

It measures 155.5 inches wide, 79 inches deep and 29.5 inches tall. Measure your room and doorways first; this is a very large piece.

Can I change the fabric or color?

Yes. West Elm sells the Peyton in multiple upholstery options, and Pearl White is one choice. Custom fabrics usually cost more and take longer to ship.

Is the cotton upholstery good for families with kids?

Cotton in a light color stains easily and is not a performance fabric. Families with young kids or pets should consider a darker or performance option.

When is the Peyton Sofa cheapest?

West Elm runs seasonal sales and furniture promotions several times a year. Watch for those events rather than buying at list price.

What comes in the box?

The three pieces ship separately: the armless sofa and the left- and right-arm bumpers. Assembly is minimal, but the boxes are large and heavy.

Our take on the West Elm Peyton Sofa

The West Elm Peyton Sofa is a large U-shaped sectional built from three pieces: an armless center sofa plus left- and right-arm bumpers. At 155.5 inches wide and 79 inches deep, it seats a crowd and wraps a room rather than sitting against a wall. The frame is solid and engineered hardwood, FSC-certified, with 100% cotton upholstery in Pearl White. It is a statement piece for big rooms, and its price moves with West Elm's frequent sales rather than staying flat.
