Is $89.99 a good price for the Whalen Fallbrook bookcase?

It is at the low end of its recent range, with four stores selling it new as of November 5, 2026. Waiting rarely saves much on a piece this size, since shipping costs dominate.

How much assembly does it need?

It ships flat and requires full assembly, including the back panel. Plan on about an hour and a second person for the frame.

Will it hold heavy binders?

Yes. The 14-inch depth and closed back suit binders and large books, and the shelves are rated for typical book loads. Keep the heaviest items on the bottom shelf.

Are the shelves adjustable?

Two of the three shelves adjust; the third is fixed. That gives you room for tall art books or a row of standard paperbacks.

Does it come in other finishes or sizes?

The Fallbrook collection includes other pieces, but this model is the 48-inch three-shelf unit in smoked ash/rustic warm gray. Check the listing for other Fallbrook sizes.

Can it be anchored to the wall?

The listing does not include wall-anchor hardware. If you have small children or pets, add a furniture strap, since a 48-inch bookcase can tip.
