Our take on the WisHouse Walkie Talkies

The WisHouse M-880 is a two-pack of FRS walkie talkies with 22 channels, 121 privacy codes, and a rated range of up to 3 miles line of sight. They add NOAA weather scan and alert, voice activation, and a backlit LCD, and run on durable ABS bodies weighing about 0.46 lb each. The only recorded price is $18.69 for the pair as of November 1, 2026, so there is no earlier range to compare against yet. At that price they sit at the low end of what a basic two-pack costs.

Questions and answers

Is $18.69 a good price for these?
It is the only price recorded so far, dated November 1, 2026, so there is no history to judge against. For a two-pack with NOAA alerts and privacy codes, it is a low price.
Do these need a license?
No. They are FRS radios, which are license-free in the US.
What is the real range?
Up to 3 miles only in open line of sight. Expect roughly half a mile to a mile in neighborhoods, woods, or inside buildings.
What batteries do they use?
The listing does not state the battery type, so confirm whether they take AA batteries or a rechargeable pack before buying.
What comes in the box?
Two walkie talkies, two lanyards, and an instruction manual.
Can I use them with other walkie talkies?
Yes, if the other radios are FRS and set to the same channel and privacy code.
