A 12-piece woodcarving set: 11 knives plus a 30 mm hook knife, in high-carbon steel with oiled wooden handles, rolled in a canvas tool roll. Blades are ground to a 20° bevel, which suits soft woods like basswood, pine and birch; the maker warns the fine edge dulls faster on hard wood. The shapes cover whittling, chip carving, spoon and bowl roughing and letter cutting. At $6.57 at RELYmedia as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, and three stores price it new.

Our tools are sharpened to a 20° bevel angle, making them ideal for carving soft wood. We do not recommend using them on hard wood , as the fine edge may dull more quickly with tougher materials.

Meet the great tool set of 12 knives in canvas roll! The set is intended for cutting out spoons, bowls, kuksa, wood sculpture, letter cutting, and other small products. The set for cutting the spoons has all the necessary tools to cut a wooden spoon, make wood sculpture on its own.
This perfect woodcarving tool set includes: whittling knife, thin delicate knife, sculpting general knife, beveled knife, chip carving knife, delicate sculpting knife and hook knife with 30 mm diameter. Perfect as a gift, the set will be a good find for those who are keen on woodcarving!
Well, this is certainly the best wood carving gift set if I’ve ever seen one. Of course, it would be more suitable for an experienced carver (even a little) that knows what to make of all these instruments whereas for a beginner it would be better to choose another one of our sets (like DIYs for comfort bird, Dala horse, a wizard and so on). However, if you or your friend that you plan to give this to knows something about a variety of instruments in the workshop or is willing to learn by practicing - this will be a great thing to give them (or yourself).
Wood carving gift set materials
When you’re picking up a wood carving tool, you want something that’s going to last—and feel right in your hand. That’s exactly what this carving gift set offers. Each tool is crafted with care, using high-carbon steel blades, and is tough and dependable. This kind of steel holds its edge well, making your sharpening routine a lot easier and helping you stay focused on your craft.
