Is the XDP Freedom Fun swing set worth it?

For a family with kids 3 to 8 and a wide, flat yard, it packs three swings, a slide and a see-saw into a low price. Expect a few hours of assembly and periodic tightening of the frame.

How much space do I need?

The set is 168 inches long and 18 inches wide, so plan for a level area at least 14 feet across plus clearance around the swings and slide. Leave room in front of the 5-foot slide.

It is rated for ages 3 to 8. The SUPER DISC swing and see-saw each hold two kids, but the set is for private backyard use only.

Does it come with ground anchors?

The listed specs do not include an anchor kit. Plan to buy ground stakes or anchors separately and secure the legs before use.

How does it compare with a wooden swing set?

It costs far less and needs no staining, but the metal frame and plastic slide are lighter duty than a wood set. Wood sets generally handle older kids and heavier use better.

The best new price found is $229 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, with three stores pricing it new. Swing sets often drop in late summer and around holiday sales.
