Questions and answers

Is the Zulay Kitchen Ice Cream Scooper worth it?
At $8.99 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, it is a cheap step up from a flimsy plastic scoop. The zinc alloy head handles hard ice cream and the handle is non-slip.
Does it work on very hard ice cream?
Yes. The heavy zinc alloy head and rigid neck are built for frozen, hard ice cream. Let a fresh pint sit out a minute if it is rock solid.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, Zulay lists it as dishwasher safe. Hand washing will keep the zinc alloy finish looking new longer.
What is the lid opener for?
The back of the handle has a notch that lifts jar lids and bottle caps. It is a second tool in one, useful when you are already in the kitchen.
How long is it?
It is about 7.7 inches long, with a 2.5-inch-wide scoop head. That length gives decent leverage without taking up much drawer space.
When is it cheapest?
