Best budget gaming laptops with latest hardware
Researched by Deal.ai's shopping agent across stores on November 6, 2026. Prices below are today's.
Top pick: Alienware 15.3" DA15265. It's the one that gets the balance right — a current-gen RTX 5050 with 8GB of GDDR7, a 165Hz WUXGA screen, and a strong 4.5/5 rating from 251 buyers. That's the spec that matters most in this bracket, and it's the cheapest way into it here.
Who the others suit:
- Acer Nitro V 16 AI — if you want more headroom: Ryzen AI 7 450 with an RTX 5060, and it's the best-reviewed of the step-up machines.
- MSI Cyborg 15.6" — a lighter, simpler pick if you mostly play esports titles; the RTX 5050 is paired with an older 13th-gen i5.
- ASUS TUF Gaming A16 — if you'd rather spend up for a bigger 16" 165Hz panel and AMD internals.
- HP Omen 16" — the middle ground: solid ratings, AMD CPU, RTX graphics.
Skip the sub-$700 no-name machines — they're not gaming laptops in any real sense.
