Best Coast flashlights

Top pick: Coast XP20R — the most flashlight for most people here: rechargeable, up to 4,000 lumens with a 190 m beam, and a solid rating. It's the one to grab for a walk, a power cut or a job site.

Who the others suit:

• Coast PX19R — nearly as bright (2,600 lm, 250 m) in a slimmer body; good if you want a long throw in a pocketable light.
• Coast Slayer Red — 1,000 lm with up to 55 hours of runtime; best for long nights and red-light use.
• Coast GX35 — IP67 waterproof and runs on USB-rechargeable or standard alkaline cells; the pick for wet weather and no-charger trips.
• Coast G60R 2-pack — two rechargeable lights to keep in a drawer and a car.
• Coast KL35R — small, spot/flood, cheap to try; fine as a glovebox spare.
• Coast G50 / G70 / HP4 — simple battery-powered everyday lights.
• Coast PX22 / PX75 UV — pen-size and UV options for close work and leak checks.
