Questions and answers
- When does Kwikset run sales?
- Kwikset discounts cluster around Black Friday, Prime Day and spring home-improvement promotions, and big-box retailers often cut prices independently. There are no live deals on this page right now, so check back or set a price alert on the models you want.
- Where is Kwikset cheapest?
- Prices vary by model and retailer, and this page has no current listings to compare. In general, the Aura and SmartCode 914 sit below the Halo Touch and Halo Touch Fingerprint, which cost more for Wi-Fi and fingerprint reading. Compare the same model across stores before buying.
- Which Kwikset smart lock is best?
- The Halo Touch Fingerprint is the most capable, with Wi-Fi built in and a fingerprint reader, but it costs the most. The Aura is a simpler Bluetooth keypad lock, and the HomeConnect 620 is the pick if you already run a Z-Wave smart home hub. The SmartCode 914 is a solid keypad-only option.
- Does Kwikset have a good warranty and return policy?
- Kwikset backs its locks with a lifetime mechanical and finish warranty and a one-year electronics warranty on smart models. Returns depend on the retailer you buy from, so check that store's window before ordering.
- Do Kwikset smart locks work with Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home?
- The Halo and Halo Touch models connect over Wi-Fi and work with Alexa and Google Home; Apple Home support varies by model. The HomeConnect 620 needs a Z-Wave hub and does not connect to Wi-Fi on its own.
