Questions and answers
- When does Radtel run sales?
- Radtel discounts mostly appear around major shopping events and on its own site's clearance listings. There are no active Radtel deals on this page right now, so check back or set a price alert on the models you want.
- Where is the cheapest place to buy a Radtel radio?
- Prices vary by model and seller, and Radtel radios are sold on marketplaces as well as radio specialty shops. Compare the RT-950 PRO and RT-493 listings here before buying, since the lowest price often comes from a third-party seller rather than Radtel directly.
- What is the difference between the RT-950 PRO and the RT-493?
- The RT-950 PRO is a 10W multi-band handheld aimed at users who want more transmit power and wide receive coverage. The RT-493 is a GMRS radio, so it is built for licensed GMRS use in the US with channels set up for that service.
- Does the RT-950 PRO need a license?
- Transmitting on the RT-950 PRO depends on which band and frequency you use; some of its coverage falls under amateur or GMRS rules that require a license. Listening is generally unrestricted, but check the rules for your band before transmitting.
- What is Radtel's return policy?
- Return terms depend on the seller, not Radtel alone, so confirm the policy on the specific listing before you buy. Radios bought through marketplaces usually follow that marketplace's return window.
