Questions and answers
- When does REDARC go on sale?
- REDARC discounts tend to appear around Black Friday, Cyber Monday and end-of-financial-year sales at Australian retailers, plus occasional 4WD show specials. There are no live deals on this page right now, so check the price history on each product page before buying.
- Where is REDARC cheapest?
- Prices vary by retailer and by country, and Australian sellers are often cheapest for REDARC gear. Compare the listed price at each store against the product's price history to see whether the current price is high or low.
- What are REDARC's best-known products?
- REDARC is best known for its BCDC range of DC-DC chargers, which charge auxiliary batteries from both the alternator and solar, and for its SBI isolators that separate starting and auxiliary batteries. The BCDC1225D delivers 25A and accepts solar input without a separate regulator.
- What is the difference between the BCDC1225D and the SBI12?
- The BCDC1225D is a 25A DC-DC charger that manages charging of an auxiliary battery from the vehicle and solar. The SBI12 is a simpler electronic isolator that only connects and disconnects two batteries so the starting battery is not drained.
- What is REDARC's return policy?
- Returns are handled by the retailer you buy from, not by REDARC directly, so check that store's return window and warranty terms before ordering. REDARC products typically carry a manufacturer warranty, which varies by product.
