Which is better for a front porch?

The Mr. Christmas horse is the practical pick if the porch is covered and has an outlet nearby. Its instructions say not to use an extension cord and to keep the plug out of the weather, so a fully exposed spot is risky. The Design Toscano statue needs no power but weighs 72 lbs.

Does the Mr. Christmas horse work outdoors?

It is sold for indoor and outdoor use, but buyer complaints say the plug cannot be in the weather and the instructions ban extension cords. Treat it as indoor or covered-outdoor only.
