55" S85F OLED 4K Smart Tizen vs LG C5 OLED evo 4K Smart TV (2025)
Both are 55-inch 4K OLEDs at 120Hz with four HDMI ports, so the picture quality gap is small. The LG C5 is the safer pick for most people: it has Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, a 2.2-channel 40W speaker system and a much larger review base. The Samsung S85F counters with a glare-reducing anti-glare coating and Samsung TV Plus. On price, the Samsung's lowest recent daily price was $1,709.99 on October 31, 2026, against a high of $2,164.11 on October 30, 2026; no LG price was given, so compare live store prices before deciding.

Questions and answers
- Which is better for a bright living room?
- The Samsung S85F lists an anti-glare coating, which the LG C5 does not. The LG counters with a brighter evo panel, so the gap is smaller than the spec sheets suggest.
- Does the LG C5 have Dolby Vision?
- Yes. The C5 supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The Samsung S85F lists HDR but not Dolby Vision.
- Which has better built-in sound?
- The LG C5, with a 2.2-channel 40W system. Samsung does not state speaker power for the S85F, so a soundbar is the safer bet there.
- Which is better for gaming?
- Both do 4K at 120Hz on all four HDMI ports. The LG C5 adds VRR up to 144Hz for PC gaming and a 0.1ms response time.
- Is the Samsung worth the extra money?
- Only if anti-glare matters to you. Its lowest recent daily price was $1,709.99 on October 31, 2026, after $2,164.11 on October 30, 2026; check the LG's current price before paying more.
- Which lasts longer?
- Neither maker publishes a lifespan figure. The LG has far more owner ratings (2,339 vs 439) at the same 4.8 score, which is the better reliability signal here.
