Can I use the Selens film inside the Ledupdates channel?

You could, but you do not need to. The Ledupdates channel already ships with a frosted cover that diffuses the strip. Stacking film on top mostly cuts brightness.

Which one is better for under-cabinet LED strip lighting?

The Ledupdates channel. It holds the strip, spreads the light and moves heat into the aluminum. The Selens film has no way to mount or cool a strip.

The aluminum channel should outlast the film by years. PET diffuser film tends to yellow or lift with heat and age, while anodized aluminum and a frosted cover hold up.

Is the Ledupdates worth $22.90 over $11.39 for the Selens?

They solve different problems, so the price gap is not a fair comparison. If you are installing strip lights, the channel is the right tool. If you only want to dim an existing light, the film is enough.

Do either include the LED strip or a power supply?

No. The Ledupdates listing is channel and cover only, and the Selens is film plus a scraper and wipes. You supply the strip, driver and wiring.

Will the Selens film fit a 20mm strip?

It can cover one, but it will not hold it in place or cool it. For a 20mm strip, use the Ledupdates channel, which is sized for that width.

Ledupdates ALU-UW Aluminum LED Channel 6-Pack vs Selens Adhesive Light Diffuser Film

These are not competing products. The Ledupdates ALU-UW is a 6-pack of rigid aluminum U-channel with frosted covers that holds LED strip up to 20mm wide. Buy the Ledupdates to mount and diffuse strip lights; buy the Selens to soften glare from a fixture you already own. Latest prices: $22.90 at eBay as of November 6, 2026 for the Ledupdates, $11.39 at Amazon as of November 6, 2026 for the Selens.
