Questions and answers
- Is the Ariens cab a snow blower?
- No. It is a fabric-and-steel enclosure that mounts on an Ariens two-stage blower. The Deluxe 28 SHO is the actual machine.
- Will the cab fit the Deluxe 28 SHO?
- The cab lists the DELUXE series as compatible, but check your specific model number against the fit list before ordering. Ariens changes model numbers between years.
- Which is better for a long driveway?
- The Deluxe 28 SHO. Its 28-inch width and 21-inch intake clear a long drive in fewer passes; the cab only shields the operator.
- Is the cab worth the extra $163.95?
- If you already own a compatible Ariens blower and face wind-driven snow, yes. It does nothing for clearing performance, only comfort and visibility.
- Does the Deluxe 28 SHO need the cab?
- No. The blower runs without it. The cab is optional and mainly helps in blowback conditions.
- Which lasts longer?
- The blower is a steel-and-cast-iron machine built for years of use. The cab's fabric shell and windows wear faster and may need replacement.
