Questions and answers
- Which is better for a 2-year-old?
- The Ms. Rachel Tonie, if you own a Toniebox. It is rated for ages 1 and up, while the Hot Wheels set is rated 3 and up because of small parts.
- Is the Ms. Rachel Tonie worth the extra money?
- Only with a Toniebox already in the house. At $19.94 it buys about 50 minutes of audio; the Hot Wheels pack gives eight cars for $10.99.
- Do the Hot Wheels cars work on tracks?
- Yes. They are standard 1:64 scale Hot Wheels cars and fit Hot Wheels tracks and playsets.
- Does the Tonie need batteries?
- The figurine does not. It holds an RFID tag that the Toniebox reads; the Toniebox itself needs charging.
- Which lasts longer?
- The diecast Hot Wheels cars take more physical abuse. The Tonie is plastic with a magnet and is best kept away from heat and chewing.
- Can I use the Tonie without a Toniebox?
- No. The Toniebox speaker is sold separately and is required to play the figurine.
