Which is better for a student?

The OmniBook 3 16. Its 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and sharper screen handle papers, tabs and video calls better. The HP 15.6's 4GB RAM and 128GB storage fill up quickly.

Is the OmniBook 3 16 worth the extra $37?

Yes for most people. Double the RAM and storage, a higher-resolution screen and face login are worth more than $37. Only skip it if $273 is your hard ceiling.

Which has better battery life?

HP claims 16 hours for the OmniBook 3 16 and 10 hours for the HP 15.6. Real-world results will be lower for both, but the OmniBook should last longer.

Can the HP 15.6 handle video calls and streaming?

Yes for one-on-one calls and HD streaming. Expect slowdowns with many browser tabs open, because 4GB RAM is the bottleneck.

Do both have touchscreens?

Yes. Both list touchscreens with a 60Hz refresh rate. The OmniBook's is sharper at 1920x1200 versus HD on the HP 15.6.

Which is lighter to carry?
