Is the 65-inch worth the extra money over the 55-inch?

Only if your seating is 8 to 10 feet back. At closer range the 55-inch looks just as sharp and saves about $287 at the November 5, 2026 prices.

Do the two TVs have the same picture quality?

Yes. Both use LG's OLED evo panel with the α9 Gen7 processor, Dolby Vision and a 120 Hz native refresh rate. The difference is screen size, not panel technology.

Which is better for gaming?

They are equal. Both offer 120 Hz native (up to 144 Hz on the C4), VRR, G-Sync, FreeSync Premium, ALLM and 0.1 ms response time across four HDMI 2.1 ports.

Neither has a stated lifespan advantage. OLED panels can dim over many years of static content; both models share the same panel type and care features.

Which is better for a bright room?

Neither is ideal. Both lack an anti-glare coating and the 65-inch lists 250 nits, so a bright window opposite the screen will wash out dark scenes.

How far should I sit from each?

About 6 to 8 feet for the 55-inch and 8 to 10 feet for the 65-inch for a mixed movie and TV mix.
