Which is better for charging a USB-C phone?

The ORICO. It has two USB-C PD 20W ports, and the PASSUS has none. Note the ORICO's total USB output is 15W, so charging slows when several USB devices are plugged in at once.

Which has better surge protection?

The ORICO states 1,280 joules. The PASSUS is sold as a surge protector but publishes no joule rating, so you cannot compare the two directly.

Is the PASSUS worth buying over the ORICO?

Only if you want the night light or a fifth USB-A port. At the same $22.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, the ORICO gives you more for the money unless those two features matter to you.

Which is better for a dorm room?

The PASSUS night light is handy in a dark dorm, and reviewers call it useful for a dorm desk. The ORICO is the better pick if you need USB-C charging or a stated surge rating.

Do both have a 10 ft cord?

Both are sold with a 10 ft cord. The ORICO listing also mentions a 5 ft cord in its specs, so confirm the length on the store page before you buy.
