Which is better for a 4K TV?

They are equal. Both output 4K at up to 120fps and support HDR and ray tracing on the same games. Pick on price and storage, not picture quality.

Is the Slim worth $20 more?

Yes if you value the smaller body and the extra 175 GB of storage. If you play a handful of games at a time, the $380 original at Revival Games is the better deal.

Which has more storage?

The Slim, with a 1 TB SSD versus 825 GB in the original. Both accept an M.2 NVMe SSD upgrade.

Do both play disc games?

Yes. Both are disc editions with an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive, and both play PS4 discs too.

Neither has a clear reliability edge; they share the same chip design. The Slim's smaller body runs warmer, but both have been durable in practice. Buy new and keep receipts.

Can I stand either one vertically?

Yes, but the original includes a vertical stand and the Slim needs one bought separately.
