Which is better for a dining room?

The Safavieh Monaco. Its 3/8" low pile lets chairs slide and keeps the table legs stable, and the 6'7" square fits a standard dining set. The Ivy's 0.7" high pile makes chairs wobble.

Which covers a bigger room?

The Garland Ivy. At 12' x 12' it covers 144 square feet in one piece, against about 43 square feet for the 6'7" Monaco.

Which is softer underfoot?

The Garland Ivy. Its 0.7" high pile is noticeably plusher than the Monaco's 3/8" low pile.

Is the price difference worth it?

There is little difference: $55.59 at Lowe's for the Ivy versus $60.87 at Amazon for the Monaco as of November 8, 2026. Pick by size and pile, not by the few dollars.

Which is easier to clean?

The Monaco. Its low pile releases dirt with a standard vacuum, while the Ivy's high pile holds debris and needs deeper vacuuming.

Both use durable synthetic yarns. The Ivy's thicker pile can mat and crush in walkways, while the Monaco's low pile tends to hold its shape longer in high-traffic spots.
