Is 500Hz worth it over a 240Hz monitor?

Only if your PC pushes well past 240 fps in the games you play. At lower frame rates the extra headroom goes unused, and a 240Hz OLED costs less.

Will the OLED panel burn in?

Burn-in is possible on any OLED with static content like HUDs or taskbars. Samsung includes panel-care features, and varied content lowers the risk.

What do I need to hit 500Hz?

A DisplayPort connection and a GPU and CPU that sustain near 500 fps at 1440p. HDMI is better suited to consoles and lower refresh rates.

Is 27 inches at 1440p sharp enough?

Pixel density is about 109 ppi, which looks crisp for gaming and everyday use. It is less sharp than 4K at the same size for text-heavy work.

Expect the monitor, a stand, a power cable and display cables. Confirm the exact cable bundle with the store before ordering.

The lowest recent daily price was $699.99 on October 30, 2026, against $797.99 on November 5. Waiting for a drop toward $700 is reasonable.
