Is the CHITA sleeper sofa good for everyday sleeping?

It is built for occasional guests, not nightly use. The fold-out surface is firmer and flatter than a mattress, so most people would add a topper for regular sleeping.

How big is the bed when unfolded?

The sofa is 78 inches long, so the sleeper runs close to a full-size bed in length. Check the room's width and clearance before unfolding it.

Is $390.27 a good price?

It is a low price for a convertible sleeper. Only one store lists it new as of November 6, 2026, so there is little competition to push it lower.

What is the sofa covered in?

It uses a black fabric upholstery. That hides stains well but is less wipe-clean than leather.

Does it come with a mattress?

The sleeper folds out from the sofa itself, so the sleeping surface is built in rather than a separate mattress.

Sleeper sofas usually dip during holiday and moving-season sales. Track the price history on this page to see whether $390.27 is above or below its usual level.

About the CHITA 77.95-Inch Sleeper Sofa Convertible Sleeper Bed

The CHITA Sleeper Sofa is a 78-inch fabric convertible sofa that folds flat into a bed, aimed at guest rooms, studios and small living rooms. Its main draw is the dual use: a full-length seat by day and a sleeper at night, in a black fabric that hides wear. At $390.27 at Lowe's as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end of convertible sleeper pricing, and only one store currently lists it new, so there is no cheaper alternative to compare against.
