Is the Dell XPS 13 worth $599.99?

At $599.99 at Best Buy as of November 3, 2026, it is a strong price for a 3K touchscreen XPS 13. That is well below what this line usually costs, so it is a good buy if 8 or 16 GB RAM fits your workload.

Should I get the 8 GB or 16 GB RAM version?

Choose 16 GB if you keep many browser tabs, run virtual machines or edit photos and video. The 8 GB version is fine for writing, email, streaming and light office work.

How does it compare with the MacBook Air?

The XPS 13 gives you a touchscreen, Windows and a 3K display at a lower price here. The MacBook Air generally wins on battery life and silent fanless operation.

How is the battery life?

Expect roughly a full workday of mixed use, less with the touchscreen at high brightness. The 3K panel is the biggest drain, so lowering brightness helps most.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, a USB-C power adapter and cable, and standard paperwork. A sleeve, mouse or USB-C hub are not included.

XPS 13 prices drop around Black Friday, back-to-school and when a new model launches. The current $599.99 at Best Buy is already near the low end for this configuration.
