About the JBL CBT 70J-1 Line Array Column Speaker
The JBL CBT 70J-1 is a two-way line array column speaker for installed sound: 16 LF drivers and 24 HF drivers in a coaxial arrangement, with JBL's Constant Beamwidth Technology and asymmetrical vertical coverage. It is built for hanging in houses of worship, auditoriums, gyms and outdoor venues, with a fiberglass-reinforced ABS cabinet and a painted aluminum grille rated for UV, moisture and 200 hours of salt-spray exposure. It is a passive 8-ohm wired speaker, not a Bluetooth or powered unit, despite what some listings suggest. Its lowest recent price was $855.00 on November 1, 2026, against a high of $1,480.00 on November 2, 2026.
