Questions and answers

Is the Nulas 6-piece knife set worth it?

For $15.01 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-risk starter set that covers chef's, slicing, Santoku, bread, utility and paring tasks. Buy it if you want sharp, color-coded knives on a budget; step up if you want knives you can sharpen for years.

Can these knives go in the dishwasher?

Hand washing is the safer choice. The coating resists rust and heat, but dishwasher detergent and prolonged moisture wear down coated blades and handles faster than a quick wash and dry.

What is included in the box?

You get an 8-inch chef's knife, 8-inch slicing knife, 7-inch Santoku, 8-inch serrated bread knife, 5-inch utility knife and 3.5-inch paring knife, plus six protective blade guards.

How does it compare with a knife block set?

It costs far less and includes guards instead of a block, so it stores in a drawer. A block set usually brings heavier forged blades and a sharpening steel, which this set lacks.

When is the best time to buy it?

At $15.01 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is already near the bottom of its recent range. Holiday and housewarming sales are the other times to check, since gift sets like this often dip then.
