Is the Plank 13" Luxe worth it?

If you want a genuinely firm mattress with a second, harder side, it is a fair buy at $1,259.30 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026. Side sleepers and anyone wanting cushioning should look elsewhere.

How does it differ from the original Plank?

The Luxe adds a 13-inch hybrid build with coils and a quilted GlacioTex cooling cover, where the original Plank is an all-foam flippable mattress. The Luxe is thicker and sleeps cooler.

Which side should I sleep on?

Start on the firm side; most back and stomach sleepers stay there. Flip to the ultra firm side only if you want maximum pushback, typically for heavier sleepers or stomach sleepers.

Does it need a box spring?

No. It works on a slatted bed frame, platform base or adjustable base. A box spring is optional and not required for the warranty.

What sizes does it come in?

It is sold in standard sizes from twin (38 by 84 inches) up through king and California king. Check the size chart before ordering, since the twin is a long twin at 84 inches.

Its recent low was $978.60 on November 3, 2026, against a high of $1,449.00 on November 1. Holiday sales and sitewide mattress events are the usual times to watch for a drop.

About the Brooklyn Bedding Plank 13" Luxe Two Sided Firm / Ultra Firm Mattress with Cooling Cover

The Plank 13" Luxe is Brooklyn Bedding's two-sided hybrid: one face is firm, the other ultra firm, so you flip the mattress to change feel rather than replace it. It pairs TitanFlex and high-density polyfoam over individually encased coils, with a quilted GlacioTex cooling cover. It is aimed squarely at back and stomach sleepers who want a flat, supportive surface with little sink. The best new price is $1,259.30 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, near the top of its recent $978.60 to $1,449.00 range.
