Is the Novilla 6 Inch Hybrid worth it?

For a child's bed, bunk bed or guest room, yes. At $85.48 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it costs less than most foam mattresses. It is not built for a heavy adult's main bed.

Is it good for side sleepers?

Only for light side sleepers. Six inches of medium hybrid gives limited cushioning at the shoulder and hip, so most side sleepers will want a thicker mattress.

Does it need a box spring?

No. It works on a slatted frame, platform bed or bunk base. A box spring adds height but is not required.

How firm is the medium feel?

It leans firm because the Bonnell spring core sits close to the surface with only a thin foam layer. Expect a bouncy, supportive feel rather than a sinking one.

Is it good for kids and bunk beds?

Yes. The 6-inch height fits most bunk rails and the price makes it easy to replace as kids grow. The medium-firm feel suits children better than soft foam.

Target is the only store listing it new at $85.48 as of November 4, 2026. Watch for Target mattress sales around holidays and back-to-school, when Twin sizes are often discounted.

About the Novilla 6 Inch Medium Hybrid Mattress with Bonnell Spring and Gel Memory Foam

The Novilla 6 Inch Medium Hybrid is a budget mattress that pairs Bonnell springs with a layer of gel memory foam. At 6 inches it is a thin, firm-leaning medium, so it suits kids' rooms, bunk beds, guest rooms and light adults rather than heavy sleepers. The Twin is $85.48 at Target as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no meaningful price history to compare against. At that price it is one of the cheapest hybrid mattresses you can buy.
